PROJECT NAME: Eck Residence – Private Home,
Eagle, Idaho
ROLE: Principal landscape architect responsible for design of all hardscape, pool, water features, planting, site grading and irrigation.
PROJECT SIZE: 7 acres
CUSTOMER: Tim Eck
DESIGN CONCEPT: The Eck residence was built in Moon Lake, a residential community designed by Gerhard Borbonas, ASLA and Loring Evans, ASLA located in Eagle Idaho. Numerous ponds were built throughout the project and the Eck residence focused on the water. The property was terraced to allow a vanishing edge to appear at the pool site. Large granite boulders were used extensively and placed in cascading falls and as landscape features to create a glacial appearance. Night lighting illuminated large trees brought to the site. Courtyards and an outside kitchen brought the main residence and guest cottage together.
